LONG LIVE YOUR AVIATOR WATCH

An AVIATOR watch that is worn every day needs a little looking after. First, always be sure to have your watch serviced by authorized AVIATOR technicians and retailers. Also, be sure to schedule maintenance check ups on your watch once a year. After all, your watch should keep up with all your adventures in life as well as it did the first day you bought it.

Magnetic fields
Oceans & Pools
Saltwater can be very corrosive and damaging to your AVIATOR watch. After swimming in the sea (or even after a dip in the pool), make sure to always rinse your watch with fresh water and wipe it down dry.
Screw-down crown
Always screw the crown down to prevent the penetration of water into the case..
Non screw-down crown
Always return it back against the case into the normal position to prevent moisture entering the case.
Cleaning
For rubber straps, metal bracelets and cases, use soapy water and toothbrush to clean, and dry with a soft cloth afterwards.
Water-resistance
The water-resistance of a watch cannot be permanently guaranteed. It may notably be affected by the ageing of gaskets or by accidental damage to the crown. It is recommended to have your watch checked for water-resistance at least once every year at an authorized AVIATOR service center.
Temperature
The watch is built to withstand extreme temperatures from -20 C to 60 C. The wearer shall avoid the prolonged use of the watch beyond these 2 extreme temperature points.
Chronograph pushers
To prevent water from leaking into your AVIATOR Watch, do not use chronograph pushers underwater.
Leather straps
To preserve your leather straps for as long as possible, AVIATOR recommends to follow the below tips in order:

  • Avoid contact with water and dampness to prevent discoloration and deformation unless it is a special water resistant leather strap.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to the direct sunlight to prevent color from fading.
  • Leather is permeable. Therefore, avoid contact with cosmetic products or oily substances.
Anti-reflective treatment
Every AVIATOR watch has the anti-reflective coating on the sapphire crystal to ensure perfect visibility of the watch dial. However, wear and tear may cause marks to appear. These are considered normal, and therefore, not covered by the warranty.
